THE STORY:
“The girl looked up at the sky, where everything is still calm”.
‘Earth Lights’ is a performance narrated through puppetry and an original music score, about the journeys of children battling cancer.
The script and scenography were developed with three women, who battled childhood cancer and have successfully recovered with the help of Gift of Life Children’s Charity.
Working trough the In/Scripted method facilitated by a playwright and a scenographer, they created three fictional narratives that speak about cancer beyond clinical terms. During the six-month collaboration the team discovered ways to navigate taboos and nuance in self-perception when dealing with cancer and the importance of making recovery a shared process.

THE STORY:
“What do you do with a big pile of snow,
a ‘sugrob’ [rus. сугроб], dumped in a back alley of an unhealthy city?”
SUGROB is a play about how people in 2026 Moscow showed up for a hopeful gathering around a towering snow pile. There was live music, candles in snow tunnes and a lot of people seeing they are not alone.
Inevitably, the snow pile was removed. But the people remained as an online community, bringing in those who never had the chance to be there.
We facilitated two theatre labs, working through the In/Scripted method with fourteen people from the Snow Heap Community, discovering why each of them decided to come to the snow heap. In the process we built a story about what the city could be if agency and mental health of it’s citizens was prioritised above all else.
